"There I was, falling from my drop ship at thirty thousand feet. But was I scared? No. I was wearing my jump boots with double-cushion sole socks."
-Master Chief Cyrus Sydian

Young recruits to the Strategic Assault Wing (S.A.W.) are first issued the Apprentice version of the ZE-31. The shorter blade and lighter weight help these young force adepts learn the skills necessary to master the art of the saber. While most will swap to the long-blade model of this weapon in time, many choose to dual-wield these sabers, or use one in the offhand. Either method has proven highly effective.

The ZE-31c was designed by Zerka Corp's Tactical group under the design supervision of Val Gerall. Her team based the saber on a tried and true design that has been in production for many years. However, the Zerka adaptation of this design features several important design improvements for increased performance, making it new, yet familiar.

As a battle saber it is now unmatched in capability and handling. The ZE-31c features a deeper emitter to ensure solid blade strength and stability. The activation button is now tactile to offer more accurate presses and feedback. The recharge port has been upgraded to a standard USB-C and the lower grip now has a threaded hole to accept the easy addition of a covertec wheel or other accessory.

Furthermore, the pommel of the saber is also a staff connector so you can combine two of these sabers to make a staff without any extra parts required.

To see how the Apprentice version of this saber compares to its full size counterpart, view the last image where we show them side by side. This is obvious, but Zerka Legal requires we say that this listing is for a single saber only. The image of two sabers is for comparison only. You do not get both sabers, just the shorter one.
